Here's how it turned out:
----
Here's pictures to show what I did:
First I spray painted the sour cream container:
Add Scrapbook paper with Mod Podge to the bottom container
Decorated the lid the same way
Hot glue fabric to the inside of the container (this was optional---I had some on hand so I used it, if I didn't, I wouldn't have added it)
*Push the fabric in with your hand all the way to bottom of the container... The fabric should naturally make the pleat look (like in the first picture)
Tuck the extra fabric in so you don't see it and glue to the inside of the container.
I also added a scrap piece of black fabric to the bottom (again, optional)
I added scrapbook paper to the top rim for a cleaner look
I think they're going to LOVE it!
Thanks for stopping by!
That's awesome, and way creative! Love it!
ReplyDeleteSo cute! I especially love the fabric inside, it really makes it into a true jewelry box. Thanks for the great idea!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely adorable. Did you cut off the excess material or did you tuck it back in?
