First, you start off with egg cartons... Special thanks to my Grandma for saving these for me. She's awesome!
and a circle Styrofoam (again from my grandma!)
Cut the Egg carton and smash (carefully) down to form a flower bud.
Glue them to the Styrofoam starting in the middle and moving out in a circular fashion
I painted the buds bright yellow first then shaded a metallic sliver on top (to match our room)
I then added some beads
that's it!
I wish I took better pictures because it's SO much better looking in person!

Really this is so clever! I may have a problem getting these paper egg cartons over here though because mostly I see the styrofoam ones in the grocers. What a fun art project this is and thanks for sharing it! Pam @ Sallygoodin

Its beautiful! If you photo doesn't do it justice it must be incredible in person. I'd like to make a sphere. I used to save egg cartons for someone who had chickens. Now gotta save them again it seems!
