Maximize Me--4th of July Edition

I'm amazed by how much creativity you laddies all have. I thought I would feature a few of my favorite 4th of July ideas I've seen around so far...

Crafts & Sutch made this cute USA banner out of wooden stars, scrapbook paper and mod podge. Check out how she did here.

Sunshine Mama made this awesome patriotic ruffle wreath. So cute. Click here to see how she made it.

Here's another patriotic wreath I thought was so simple but fabulous: Made by Nap Time Crafts, 4th of July Wreath. They're stars.

Sweet Something Designs made a wooden Flag Banner out of a pallet! Love it. Click here to see how she made it.

A little of this, A little of that made a fun Ruffle American Flag Shirt. Find more out here.

I absolutely love these 4th of July headbands made by Maka'z Home. Check it out here.

Great job everyone!! Here's what I did for 4th of July. Picture Pledge of Allegiance.

Using egg carton for decor...

So, here's another one of my use-renew-reused projects. This is made using egg cartons, Styrofoam, paint and beads (I didn't have to buy a thing!).

First, you start off with egg cartons... Special thanks to my Grandma for saving these for me. She's awesome!
and a circle Styrofoam (again from my grandma!)
Cut the Egg carton and smash (carefully) down to form a flower bud.
Glue them to the Styrofoam starting in the middle and moving out in a circular fashion
I painted the buds bright yellow first then shaded a metallic sliver on top (to match our room)
I then added some beads
that's it!
I wish I took better pictures because it's SO much better looking in person!
Here's a link to another egg carton decor I did.

The beginning of every new socialize with me party, I will recap a few of my favorites from the previous week.

"Picture Perfect" Pledge of Allegiance

I had this idea last year but it was hard enough trying to pose my girls at there present age (there would be NO way I could have done this with them one year ago---and keep my sanity) lol

They did a great job, my little troopers :)

Here are the pictures I used:

"I Pledge Allegiance"
"to the Flag of the United States of America"

"and to the Republic for which it stands"

"1(one) Nation under God"
(My Favorite!)

"Indivisible"

"with liberty and justice for all."
(she's pretending to be on time out...It didn't last long enough to take the picture, hence the blur lol)

Here it is again:

I liked how it turned out! So cute! :)
*Oh, for the flag background I used blue star scrapbook paper along with plain red and white paper I striped and taped together.... And of course aged it with brown ink. :)
Enjoy :)
